today i met
today i met a man from Senegal who borrowed my phone to call for a ride at the old capital mall while i waited for the bus. even now, i forget his name. he spoke french, of a sort, and i pushed my simple mind to the limit just to remember how to count in French to ten. he spoke of being a grad student in computer science, but not too much could we relate to one another. a brief and interesting encounter. feb 14, 2011
